Dr Michael Binks is an NHMRC Early Career Fellow at the Menzies School of Health Research. His PhD research investigated the role of vitamin D insufficiency in acute respiratory infections in children.

Michael is currently leading a large NHMRC funded randomised controlled clinical trial of vitamin D supplementation in Indigenous children in the Northern Territory. The trial will investigate if vitamin D supplementation provides a level of protection against acute respiratory infections.
