A/Prof Simon Phipps

A/Prof Simon Phipps is Group Leader at QIMR Berghofer MRI and heads the laboratory for Respiratory Medicine. He completed his PhD in asthma pathogenesis at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London and his current research focus aims to understand the developmental origins of health and disease in the context of respiratory medicine. This involves the study of gene-environment interactions that predispose towards the development of severe viral bronchiolitis and the later development of chronic respiratory conditions.
