Dr Helen Petsky

"Anti-smoking asthma program for high schools".

Helen had considerable experience as a registered nurse before embarking on her clinical research career. She completed her PhD under the supervision of Professor Anne Chang at the Centre for Children's Health Research in Brisbane in 2013. Helen's CRE fellowship implemented and evaluated a pilot program of peer-led education for the prevention of tobacco smoking uptake in youth.

Helen is now based at Griffith University where she is continuing her research as well as lecturing in the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
