We recently received funding from The European Respiratory Society to work with the European Lung Foundation (ELF) develop a robust and consensus definition of bronchiectasis flare-ups (exacerbations) for use in clinical research. This will complement the definition for routine clinical use developed as part of the ERS Clinical Practice Guidelines for managing children and adolescents with bronchiectasis. The project and panel includes parents of children with bronchiectasis.
Aims:
To develop a consensus definition of bronchiectasis flare-ups (exacerbations) for clinical research from both parents’ and clinicians’ perspectives
Timeline:
The project will start in Jan 2021 and end in Dec 2022.
