Ms Linda Medlin
Linda is enrolled in a Masters of Philosophy at the Queensland University of Technology. She was awarded an Australian Postgraduate Award scholarship, and has also been supported by the CRE for her studies. Linda's primary supervisor is Dr Chelsea Bond from the University of Queensland, and her co-supervisors are CRE academics Professor Anne Chang and Dr Maree Toombs.
Linda is a Murri woman from Winton in Queensland's central west. She has worked in the area of social welfare and health for over 30 years. Linda's project is based within the Indigenous Respiratory Outreach Care (IROC) program, and aims to explore the knowledge, attitudes and perceptions of respiratory illnesses of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Linda is studying part-time while working at Queensland Health as an Indigenous Project Officer.
